Thanks are in order for all the bands we’ve played with, all the fans that came out and all the highly efficient staffs of the great venues we’ve had the pleasure of playing at over the last month. Those Darlins and Rev Horton Heat were great shows, and our small run over the weekend in Lawrence, Wichita, and Tulsa where we played shows with Fast Food Junkies, Olassa, Soleb Theory, Japanese Game Show and The Shame was a blast.
The next week sees us playing some great shows as well:
This Thursday, 12/13, we play The Stagger Inn w/ The Blind Eyes and Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy
Friday night, 12/14, we’ll be at John Brown’s on the Sqaure in Marion!
and Saturday night, 12/15, we’ll be playing an “End of the World” party at The State Room in Quincy with The Texas Funerals, Busey’s Helmet and Texas Fire Juice!
And, being the end of the year, it’s that time again: our 3rd annual Free New Year’s Eve Party at Off Broadway with The Blind Eyes. Both bands will play their respective original sets, and at the end of the night, will combine forces to deliver a variety of covers ranging from Human League to Bob Seger to the Talking Heads and many more. John Joern of Old Lights and Morgan Nusbaum of Bruiser Queen will be lending their vocal talents to some of the songs as well. It’s gonna be a good time, and we guarantee it will fill up quickly, so get there early!
See you soon,
Kentucky Knife Fight
