First off, Thanks to everyone who came to this past Thursday’s Stagger Inn show! The Dirty Feathers brought the dirty psychedelic rock and John Krane‘s new project delivered a set that saw John and local favorite Dana Anderson delivering one polished, lyrically genius song after another. The crowd was great as always, and you reminded us of why we love coming back to the bar where it all began 6 years ago.
This week will see us spending not one, not two, but three days with one of our favorite Fort Worth, Texas bands, Whiskey Folk Ramblers. Thursday, April 5th will see both playing with The Texas Funerals at the New Hampshire Bar in Quincy, IL.
As a quick aside you’ll notice something a little different if you look to the right at the music player. Namely, that our first new single “Love the Lonely” is on it. Recorded & Mixed by David Beeman and Kit Harmon at Native Sound (St. Louis, MO), and mastered by Dan Mehrmann and Miles Vandiver at Jettison Studios, “Love the Lonely” is the first new song we’ve released in almost two years, and it is the first of many new songs to be recorded for a forthcoming album. Play it to your hearts content, and then, if you’re in the area, this Friday, April 6th…
The efforts of all your Kickstarter contributions will finally pay off, as we unveil the official music video for “Love the Lonely” (which will be our first official music video proper) at Off Broadway. We’ll be sharing the stage with St. Louisans Dots not Feathers that night, and it will mark the triumphant return of Whiskey Folk Ramblers to the STL stage. We’d highly recommend getting tickets as soon as possible, and at 8 bucks a pop (11 if under 21), it’s definitely an affordable option on a Friday night. You can rsvp to the event on facebook here.

Our weekend of shows with the Ramblers will be rounded out by a stop in Port Cape with Carrie Nation and the Speakeasy on Saturday, April 7th. It looks to be one hell of a return to one of our favorite Southern Missouri hot sposts.
We hope to see you all at one of these upcoming shows!
